New River Bridge, second highest bridge in the United States at 876 feet! Isn’t it beautiful? It’s one of West Virginia’s best-known road wonders and it’s only a couple hours away from here….. It stretches 3,030 feet in length with an arch of 1700 feet, making it the longest steel single arch span in the world.:yes:

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either.
