Free Book Friday: Picking Daisies

Jun
16

Camp is HARD, I tell you, HARD. I heard through the grapevine that my children were exhausted! Ready to come home! There was TOO MUCH TO DO at camp! They miss TV and their computer games!

Think they were making them break rocks, after all?

Me, I’ve been picking daisies all week………. IT WAS LOVELY.

Okay, what two things did I really do this week?

1. Really did pick daisies.
2. Tried out a new recipe.
3. Hiked to the top of a mountain.
4. Fell in a creek.
5. Slept late.

One winner from those who choose the correct two answers will win a PAX mug! (Guess once with your two choices!) To celebrate summer, I’m going to give away a PAX mug or t-shirt every so often instead of a book on Free Book Friday! Keep watch!

Now I’m off to pick up my EXHAUSTED children from camp……..

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
