Happy Labor Day! Indulgent mother that I am, when the Princess asked if she could write a post for my blog, I told her yes. She, of course, wanted to talk all about animals. Here it is:
“Hi, this is Princess and I want to write about Butterbutt A.K.A Buttercup. He likes to be the number 1 cat around here but get him in the room with Callie and the fur starts flying. Of course Butterboo wins because he is so HUUUUUUUUUGGGEEE! And Callie even being a full grown cat is still very skinny and small so she doesn’t stand a chance but Mush A.K.A Spice isn’t even full grown and she is so very fat for a 1 yr old. She’s sweet but Butterbobo and Dookie hate one another and they are the exact the same height and weight and Dookie is a DOG! Buttercup got a booboo so a chunk of fur is missing. If you got any questions you can tell my mom that you have a question for me and she’ll tell me that I got a question but bye!”

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
