The view from our future front door…….
When the only thing dirty in the kitchen is a pizza cutter, you know I’m in the final throes of a book. It’s due in less than a week. I can remember my own name. That’s about it. I offer you three-day-old news. It’s the best I can do. Remember the dryer trick from Monday?
16: She showed me what she can do with the dryer.
Me: You mean she got in it in front of you?
16: Yes.
Me: You didn’t shut the door on her, did you?
16: Yes.
Me: YOU DIDN’T TURN IT ON, DID YOU?
16: No. But it was hard. I wanted to.
Me: Thank you for your restraint.
Then I paid him ten bucks to go pick up his brother from football practice.
