Country road dressed in autumn splendor….
The other evening, I went to an Italian restaurant in Charleston called Fazio’s. It was a nice restaurant and the food was good. They had paper placemats with a logo boasting that they were the most famous Italian restaurant in West Virginia. I said, “How do they know that?” Well, of course they don’t know that. They just made it up. They made it up as much as they made up the mural on the wall where their restaurant was placed along a river floating with gondolas. Last I checked, they were actually on a sidestreet among warehouses.
Which got me thinking. How many published romance writers are there in West Virginia? I don’t know. I know that I’m famous. The Irish Baby Names site says so! Therefore, based on almost no research, I have concluded that I am the most famous romance writer in West Virginia.
I hope this isn’t gonna be a lotta pressure.

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
