What a beautiful home and I know the children appreciate it that much more, having experienced the old farmhouse lifestyle first. LOL Congratulations..it's beautiful - I saw the kitchen photos, on Princess making bread page. Beautiful!

I'm with Renna. In Texas we had cold (for us) weather, and now back in the low 70's. We even cooked out last night!

BTW, it may sound corny, but I believe old houses have their own heart. When my husband and I were looking at houses, our house whispered "you're home" to me as soon as I peeked through the front window.

Build new memories in the new place, but remember the heart that lives within the old.

I lived in WV years ago - and LOVED it. Though I often joked it was the most backwards place and I still tell stories like getting a license took two trips to the DMV b/c the camera traveled around and was only available on certain days of the week. As the WV license plate slogan reads Wild and Wonderful - it is just that. I still carry images of beautiful WV tucked in my mind -

Here in my little corner of Texas, we're having spring like weather. We actually used the a/c in the van going to church this morning, and I turned it on in the house this evening. :fan: I wish the weather would make up it's mind. A few days ago, I was freezing my patootie off.

I'm happy for you that your family has thawed out, along with the pipes. Your new home is positively gorgeous. Will you have a room for cousin's mother?

The title of your blog intrigued me, and when I saw the photo of your new house I knew you had to be somewhere in West Virginia. Hello from Jackson County. I enjoyed reading your blog.

I too found your site a few days ago. I look forward everyday to your blog. So much entertainment (just peaceful, quiet living is entertainment, or should we say escape) and such an awesome lifestyle. You also need to check out Tasha Tudor's site. She is a 90 yr. old woman who lives as if in the 1800's in a remote part of Vermont, is also an author and illustrator, and her life totally fascinates me. Thanks for the joy!
