Cuteness Overload

I love farm babies! And this year, there have been so many.

First there were the baby chickens.





Then there were the baby goats.





And the giant baby dog.





As if that was not enough, the baby birds just hatched in the nest in my hen house.





And when I went over to my cousin’s house, here’s what I found at the old wash house door.





You have no idea how hard it was to not bring one home!

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either.
