We talked abo ut doing a similar thing this year, but ran out of time so we are starting to plan for next year. We went to Williamsburg for the "Grand Illumination" two weeks ago, and we were really struck by the beauty of the decorations made from materials on hand. For instance....a garland made from stinging sweet gum tree seed pods (not sure what they are called-they look like a little spiky ball). My son had to do this when we got home-we have about a million of this nasty little things! We actually had to use a drill, they are so hard! Anyway, it looked neat when it was finished and we used it as a garland on our tree. So next year, we are going to make more things. I took a lot of pictures in Williamsburg for inspiration, and i will be using some of your ideas for gifts. And Buttercup looks so sweet...boy do I miss having a cat around.... :catmeow: I love your tree Suzanne!
