Normally dogs are the enemy of donkeys, as dogs are predators and donkeys are prey. Our donkeys absolutely hate dogs, and whenever one has come into the pasture, the donkey puts it's ears back, head down, and chases it away. Yet I've seen a lot of photos of the 2 being friends.
