made this tonight for thanksgiving. used grandmother bread :) this was my first time ever making, or even tasting, bread pudding. it was fabulous. i think the sauce makes this dish. no one was excited to hear that i'd made bread pudding, but everyone gobbled it up and raved about it.

Made the bread pudding for Thanksgiving. It was wonderful! Best to warm it up. I split mine into two 9x9 pans. :hungry: I need to make more!

Suzanne - I have to tell you, my mom and I made this recipe for Thanksgiving dinner in place of the "old standby" pumpkin pie. It was WONDERFUL! It got rave reviews around the big table and has officially been invited to the annual shindig from this day forward! Thank you for posting this! Lots of love from 12 grateful eaters, plus me!

I've never made your Grandmother Bread but have it saved on my bloglines to try "one day." This recipe sounds like a great place to start!

Debbie, We have that set up and I have tested it. Both of ours registered a separate vote. I vote on the desktop and husband has his laptop on the same Modem. We both vote. When I read your comment, I thought I better check and be sure they both get counted. They do. At least ours do. For others? I'd say go ahead and vote on both, it might work like ours.

Hey Suzanne...thanks for your response. Yes, Yvonne, I mean heavy when I say dense. I'm after something fluffier, but not quite as fluffy as store bought bread. I like to have a little substance, but not something to use as a doorstop! Pamb, I think you're right. I added extra flour probably too early because it was very sticky, but then I noticed it was pretty dry by the time I was done kneading. I'll try less next time, and be more patient with the kneading. I'm enjoying journey, but I would like to reach the goal sooner rather than later! Thanks everyone! And thanks Suzanne! We love you!!! :-)
