This hen has started laying on my “gardening shelves” on the back porch. Yesterday, I found her up on the bottom shelf, laying an egg WHILE eating the egg she’d laid the previous day (which I hadn’t noticed). I picked up the fresh egg right quick. Now that I know she’s chosen this handy location to deposit her jewels, I’m thinking of just putting an egg carton there. Maybe she’d lay right in the carton!
