Back to the Sheep Farm

Jan

Saturday morning, Mike and Kathy from the sheep farm called to say, “We have a baby for you.”

Oh my.

But it’s not this baby.

Or that baby.

Or– Did you see the little black baby?

It’s not any of these babies.

Mrs. Ewe: “You’re not taking my baby!”

I’m not, I promise!

Not yours, either!

Stop worrying girls. Let’s synchronize. To the left…..

To the right….

Okay, never mind. I see you’ve got your wool in a twist now. I’m not talking about any of your babies! You are all good mamas!

I’m talking about this baby. She’s just two days old and she’s living in the sheep farmers’ house because she’s had trouble nursing with mama. She drinks from a bottle and she wears diapers. In a few months, I’ll get to bring her home.

Meet Annabelle……tomorrow!

Adorable! What a sweet bunch of babies. I can’t wait to see pictures of Annabelle. Yesterday we adopted two sheep from our local shelter. What a mess they were in – just a huge mess of burrs. Not cute like your baby. But, we trimmed one of them last night and it has made a tremendous difference. I blogged about it so you can see the photos if you like. I hope they’ll enjoy their new home here.

She looks so cute, at least what I saw of her so far. We are still working on getting a goat in the spring but my son in law hates cold weather so no fence repair til it is warm so no goat til fence is repaired and no sheep til we get a goat etc etc. Oh where oh where is my 62(52) in central IL?? Blessings.

Oh, my…they are so cute! Hope Morgan enjoyed her b-day and glad she made it home safely…I too know about those W.Va roads…they can get nasty slick so do be careful out there. hopefully we’ll all see some warmer weather soon…it’s nasty cold here by Lake Erie I can tell you that…only in the teens and below with about a foot of snow on the ground…I can’t wait for spring!!!
