Some are beautiful.

Some are big, and some are little.

Some are contemplative.

And some are funny.

Some are not very nice to to the others and say, “I’ll get you, my pretty.”

And some say, “Kiss my bootie, little banty.”

The End.

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....

Your blog was recommended by a friend of a friend of a friend. I have enjoyed reading it immensely for several months now. I have never posted a comment but feel I needed to today on behalf of the little chicken with the insane eyes. Sure he sends shivers down the other chick spines and gives humans the evil “eye”, but he can’t help looking like he does. Think of his forefather the “bald eagle”. Have you ever looked one of those in the eye? They may be our lands national symbol but golly they looked ticked off don’t they? Anyway…I beg you to give this little guy another chance. I bet all the other chicks are jealous of his eyes if truth be known. I just know this little guy is destine for greater things. :-)
Sincerely,
Josie
