I told her she couldn’t have a tiara. I told her we were having a homemade Christmas. I even told her she was on Santa’s naughty list.

Then I got a package in the mail with this note: “After seeing Clover’s shock at not receiving her tiara for Christmas, my daughter said she could make Clover her tiara. Anna is a crafty little girl and had this tiara made in less than 15 minutes! She used beads from her bead box and wire. A homemade Christmas tiara for Clover. We hope she enjoys it and doesn’t think it’s a cookie!”

Thank you, Anna! (And thank you, Anna’s mother Diane!)

Clover: “It’s only what I deserve. I TOLD YOU, WOMAN.”

She’s going to be even more impossible to live with now!

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....

Thank you Anna and Diane for helping Santa out. During this busy season, sometimes he needs our help.
Suzanne, I’m glad you got your electricity back. Here in Georgia, we lost our electricity 3 or 4 times during the night – due to high winds. I’m grateful that they were all only temporary outages and that none of our trees came down due to high winds and saturated ground.
Merry Christmas to all.

Do you eat any foods for luck in the new year? My Mother always prepared black eyed peas. Maybe it is a deep south thing.
Blessings to you and yours, Patty
