Guess

Who knows what this is? Clue–it’s not a miniature bathtub for a dollhouse. I know, because when 52 gave this to me and made me guess, I was wrong.

I’ll be experimenting with its proper use today. I’ll report back!

*I put an egg next to it as a size reference. The egg is not related to its use.

My guess is butter dish as well.

  12. Ken Mueller says:

A device for defrosting your icebox? Wait, I guess they don’t do that anymore. It might be what I use to hold the contents of my pockets each night. Lame. A butter dish needs a top. Hmm, OK, I give up.

  13. Michelle says:

I, too, was going to guess that it was a butter mold. Does 52 have some beef with your butter’s free-form style? 😉

  14. laney says:

I am leaning towards butter mold too…

  15. Michelle says:

P.S. – I gave you a little shout-out over on my wee little blog, cuz you rock and stuff. :shimmy:

Definitely looks like a butter mold.

  17. Susan at Charm of the Carolines says:

Well, since butter mold is clearly already spoken for, I’ll guess vintage asparagus or corn on the cob plate?

    Susan

  23. Action Squirrel says:

My eye is broken so I can’t tell how long it is. If it’s long, then I guess asparagus baker. If it’s short, I vote ice brick maker for igloos.

  24. Joy says:

Looks like a butter dish to me.

  25. Glenie says:

Without reading any comments I say its a cracker caddie?

  26. Mia says:

mini loaf pan or relish/pickle dish is my guess. I’d say butter mold too, but looks pretty plain for that??

I would say butter dish or a crock dish for cooking pot pie kind of things. :chicken:

  29. LK says:

After reading all of the guesses and considering all of them, I would suggest a pickle or cracker dish, but I truly believe that it is a “whatever your mind wants it to be” dish! I KNOW that I am right on that guess! I am sure that my kids would think of some ingenious use for it…if it isn’t a dollhouse bathtub, how about a toy horse or cattle trough? :moo:

One guess from the oldest one is a mini loaf pan…not as ingenious as I had thought.

  30. Amy says:

I say mini loaf pan. I used to have some like this!
