Whey cool. That is so cute. I think those New England Cheesemaking people must have been in 4-H. (Remember Amanda’s show heifer, Coffee who was “de calf”?)

My first cheese challenge post for New England Cheesemaking is coming up! Are you ready? Do you have your cheese cave and your homemade press? Are you ready to make Monterey Jack and Pepper Jack? To help you join me in the cheese challenge, New England Cheesemaking is letting me give away another Basic Cheese Making Kit.

She’s not included in the kit:

Me Me MEEEE! I have been sitting on the fence about making cheese for over a year. My favorite response to how much cheese do we have is “Life is better with cheese!” But making it?? I work 40 hours a week.

I read your blog everyday. You have me backing bread weekly, drying herbs and creating “hamburger helper”.

I even bought a Steamer Juicer, after I said that was just too much for even me. Now I go to the produce marked and shop the discount cart looking for something new to Juice. We have prickly pear juice as of yesterday. Husband says it taste like a weed. I said added some Tequila to it…. He did, that and some 7up seems to make it palatable.

I just found your blog yesterday, but havee to chime in that I would love to win this!

PLEASE let it be me! =) I’ve been dying to try my hand at making cheese! We have started milling our own wheat to make bread, and my 5 yr. old is getting chickens for his 4-H Cloverbud project, so soon, we’ll have eggs. We are also trying our hand at gardening this year, so this would help complete my food groups! =) Breads, Protein, Vegetables, Fruit, and NOW Dairy! Haven’t fit a cheese kit in the budget yet, although it is on the “TO DO/BUY” list. Thank you for this chance, and your wonderful and engaging blog.

first I need a good source of milk, my first & only try at making mozzerella was a disaster.
I called several milk companies & it appears that all our milk is ultra~pasturized…BUT…I’d LOVE to win this and try again!!!
