Don’t tell me NOT to!

Those of you who may recall the No Clapping directive know how I felt about THAT. Well, apparently a number of people didn’t get the memo because some people clapped on Easter Sunday (at the Church of Christ, TO AID GOOGLING) when someone got baptized. Including me. My husband, who met me in a church when I was 14 years old (yes, that’s right, I knew that bad boy a long time before I climbed out that dorm window to go to the Holiday Inn with him and he HAD driven 2000 miles to wait for me outside that dorm window so you know, could that have been more romantic?), was NOT shocked even though he has known me since I was 14 years old and has never, I mean never, seen me clap in church before. But he WAS nearly having a seizure due to laughing so hard because there was one reason and one reason only that his wife who is Not A Clapper under almost any circumstances not to mention church was clapping in church. And that is BECAUSE SOMEONE TOLD ME NOT TO.

Ya know, Suzanne, I was going to say how much this pink swirly blog design suits your personality more than the black on your main site, but I’ve changed my mind now. :twisted:lol. You’re a hoot.

And that is so romantic about you and your dh being first loves.

The good news (or bad news) is that I just googled Church of Christ and Abilene Christian University and your blog didn’t show up on the first 4 pages of results.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
