What IS a Fruity F*cker? I’ve been asked that question a lot since it became my signature drink.
There’s nothing more fun than going out to lunch with your girlfriends for a drink and gossip, especially if they’re writers like Emilie and Cynthia. They’re a ton of fun. We usually meet at the MacGregor Draft House in Cary, North Carolina, which is a central location from where we all live. Then we gossip and order drinks with odd names and forget about deadlines and housework for as long as possible. I didn’t have my camera with me yesterday–Cynthia and Emilie try to push me in front of a truck whenever I show up with my camera–so this pic is from a few months ago. (L-R: Suzanne, Emilie, Cynthia.) You can see the Fruity F*ckers on the table in front of us–they’re green and they’re BIG.
The great bartender at MacGregor Draft House is Adam Rambeaut and the Fruity F*cker is his own personal creation. He gave me permission to share the recipe. (Amount of alcohol vs amount of juices depends on how high you want the alcohol content to be!)
So, here it is!
Adam Rambeaut’s Fruity F*cker
Vodka, blue Caracao, Chambord raspberry liqueur, melon liqueur, Southern Comfort peach liqueur, peach schnapps, orange juice, pineapple juice, cranberry juice. Drop in a slice of orange and a cherry.
Enjoy! It’s REALLY good! :guitar:

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
