The dashing of my pink tutu dreams

I have a new post up at DotMoms ! Let me know what you think.

Note: a new feature on my blog now is the thumbnail photo in the sidebar. That thumbnail links to the Daily Photo on my photoblog. I haven’t been changing out the photo daily so far because I was in the midst of all these changes and getting things set up, but from now on, take a look at the thumbnail in the sidebar every time you visit and check out the photoblog! I plan to do Fun Things With Photos there.

The font size in the entries has been increased too (per request! I live to serve!) so I hope that helps.

I love your new blog! Do hate soccer though. Push music – they almost always do it inside where you can read in comfort while they play or sing. Much more my style!!

Okay, I hated playing soccer as a kid, but I like watching my kids play soccer. However, we don’t start till well into May when the weather is decent — and when the weather is bad I go sit in the car. (Also, I hate the snacks. HATE it. I don’t remember having snacks when I played baseball as a kid. Also, we’ve been extremely lucky with coaches. We’ll see how this year shakes out.)

I haven’t made my kids play piano, either. Though I loved it as a kid myself. Ah, well.

I sympathize with your hate affair of soccer! I have three very athletic kids and I’ve spent more time huddled, freezing, on a soccer field than anywhere else.

Great new look! Actually easier to read than the white on black, I think.

Nice new look! This is pretty and easy on the eyes.

And due to childhood trauma, I’m convinced all piano teachers are bitter, child-hating psychos so if my daughter wants piano lessons she’ll have to take ‘em as an adult! I can go along with just about anything else she wants to do.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
