Unfortunately, Fortunately

May

Yesterday’s winner of their choice of an autographed book from my backlist: Stacey115! Stacey, click the Contact button in the menu bar above to send me your address and your choice!

Continuing with a week of celebrating my new design with games and contests–today, a PAX t-shirt is up for grabs!!! Let’s play Unfortunately, Fortunately! Here’s how it works: I start the game with a few Unfortunately, Fortunately lines to set the stage. You comment with either an Unfortunately line or a Fortunately line (whichever follows the comment before you) to keep the story going.

If two people post simultaneously (say, there end up being two Fortunately lines in a row right before you), just choose whichever line you want to play off with the next Unfortunately line to keep the story going! I’ve asked my daughter to write down a number on a piece of paper and it’s folded up, top secret like, and sitting under my laptop. The person whose comment # matches that number wins a PAX t-shirt! I’ll announce the winner in tomorrow’s blog. Play as many times as you want, but not twice in a row.

Here we go! :hyper:

Unfortunately, she was naked when the doorbell rang.
Fortunately, it was a sexy bad boy at the door.
Unfortunately, she was tied to a chair and couldn’t answer.
Fortunately, that bad boy knew how to bust a door down.

Unfortunately……(your turn)

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
