A Sailor and A Cat

Ross, relaxing with Little. He reminded me right away that Little’s original name was George and that Kitten’s original name was Simba. Way back when, the kids couldn’t agree on a name for “Simba” (I can’t remember who wanted that and who didn’t, but Ross probably liked that one since he remembered it.) While they were arguing over it, I started calling him Kitten. Then Ross’s high school girlfriend gave us Little, who was named George, but that name was in some dispute also so I started calling him Little Kitten to differentiate him from Kitten.

And forever after they became Kitten and Little.

Little is still very little, and so is Kitten, so they are aptly named!

Have you stopped hugging and kissing him yet? Hell, I just got a happy smile on my face seeing him home again.

Little reminds me of my cat, Stanley, except that Stanley weighs well over 20 lbs so he isn’t Little!

Thanks for taking the time to post updates! We CITR addicts just can’t get enough!

That’s a wonderful pic!!! 15 yrs. ago a feral cat came to our back porch with 3 kittens and were eating the food I had put out for the birds (popcorn and bread). I named them Little Brown Guy, Little Black Guy and Little Yellow Guy. Yellow guy disappeared (I assume someone took him in). I brought in Little Brown Guy (who got renamed Little Guy and he turned into a she and she just passed this year at 15) and cared for Little Black Guy (who was renamed Slinky and also a she who had more kittens that I took in) for 15 years until she passed away this year too. I could go on but I just wanted to tell you about the name changes like your two lol.

Beautiful photo Suzanne. I love any photo of Kitten, or Little. And it doesn’t hurt my eyes to see a pic of a sailor either…

I can’t get over how grown up he looks. Not that he didn’t before, but now he has that rugged manly sailor look. LOL

    Hey Suzanne!

We’ve been having problems with our internet service also for over a month. I believe we both have HN. Good luck with getting a technician to your house! One never came to ours after a week of calls. My husband told them we were canceling it when a tech finally called and he found out he was in fact local. Anyway, we were over a week without it. My husband unplugged the box for a few hours and then plugged it back in and it worked. We’ve had to do that a few other times too.

    Merry Christmas!

Love the picture of your son and Little, our son is in Japan but not in the service, he is 28 yrs. old and went over there to teach this past January, there has been 5-6 earthquakes since he went there and he said they had a typhoon the other day where he is but so far he is ok. I had a cat named Little also and she was very special to me, we had to put her to sleep in 2004 because she was hit by a car a year or so earlier and when her pelvis bone grew back it caused her a lot of bowl problems, we doctored her2 times a day but not keep things working. A couple months before we put her down I was sleeping in my recliner (knee pain)during the night she woke me when she got on my lap, then she walked down and laid on one knee til it quit hurting then went to the other til it quit hurting then she jumped down. Thanks for all the pic’s and stories Bill
