Back to Normal

I’m one of those people who can’t move on to other things until everything is put away. I’ve spent the past week doing two to three loads of dishes a day. Imagine taking nearly every pot, bowl, spoon, and assorted other utensils and equipment out of your house, getting them all dirty, then hauling them back! It was like trying to wash my whole kitchen at once. Make that two kitchens. Yesterday, I did the last load of “retreat” dishes, and all the laundry (I had guests in the house for nearly two weeks), and got everything put away down to every last folded towel and fresh sheets on the beds.

BP was watching me the whole time from over there by the door. She really disapproves when I’m messy. She’s always staring. I even think her eyes follow me when I walk around the room! I’d better behave.

Poor you! At least you have a cow. I mean, come on, who doesn’t need a quiet, unassuming and MASSIVE four-hooved friend who gives gallons of yummy milk and produces adorable calves? I can’t WAIT for mine! :cowsleep:

I’m the same way. I can’t imagine having all that piled up & waiting every time I turned around. My poor head would have exploded. It’s a good thing BP was there to keep you on task!

I am also definitely the type of person who needs to have everything put away before I can start something new. I will attempt to start something new, knowing I have this problem, and then I will get exasperated halfway through when I can’t concentrate, abandon the project, and go back to cleaning up!

    It’s ridiculous.

I know the feeling. That’s pretty much the way it is with Family Reunions and Church Homecomings too. I’m almost finished with one from last weekend and preparing for another next weekend. Gittin’ too old for all this fun.
