Not them.

Him.

This morning, when rain that flooded the river turned to pelting-down snow, the donkeys, goats, chickens, and one overgrown baby cow hid in the shelter of the goat pen under the porch. Except this one rooster.

The animals love to peck at the fallen seed scraps under the bird feeders. When everybody ran in from the weather, this rooster said, “I’m the man. I’m the man! MINE, IT’S ALL MINE.”

He looks quite dashing, don’t you think? He’s going to see the ladies next.

“I know they want me.”

    Well those guys just don’t know when to come in. I caught my husband sneaking around the yard when Hurricane Katrina blew thur MS. That was until I screamed at him and made him come in before a tree fell on him.

    if the chickens are out in rain, it is going to rain all day. If it is raining and they are inside, it will quit soon!
