Big Temptation

A week from today will be March 1. March means spring. Okay, in West Virginia, March can still mean snow. But let’s not talk about that. Let’s think about the warmer days that will come with it, even if there are still a few winter storms mixed in. SPRING. I am so ready for spring.

I’m really tempted to just turn my calendar over to March right now, but I’m holding back. It’s bad luck. But it’s very tempting!!!!

I’m with you Suzanne…spring couldn’t come any sooner for those of us here in NE Ohio. Flipping that page to March, even though we most surely will get more winter weather in that month, is such a great feeling. Like the light at the end of the tunnel.

Oh yes….I’m soooo ready for spring. Counting the days until daylight savings time too! Come on warm(er) weather and more daylight. Sending my gelding out for a 30 day tuneup next week, shopping for chickens after having my flock decimated by predators…planning a garden that I may have extra time to work in due to an impending furlough due to the fiscal cliff. Lots to do and I’d like some sun to do it in!! It can snow here into April and we dare not put anything out until after Mother’s Day unless a very close eye is kept on the weather…but I’m ready!!

I am waiting for spring here too… although spring is very short-lived and I hate south Texas summers. It was 86 degrees here yesterday and will be in the 40’s tonight….I think God must have been distracted when he made Texas…LOL! I have a new garden built in the backyard (after two of our 6 dogs destroyed all of my bagged soil components, grapevine, blackberry and peach trees on day 1, we have had a (proper) fencing palooza! Now I go out to my garden several times a day to see what has come up. My potatoes are going great guns! I just put in my first tomatoes and can’t wait for that first one! Plus, I plan (hope) to make a lot of sauce this year….

Everyone I know is sick of this winter too. Can’t hardly stand it-and we just got more snow dumped on us and another round coming Monday. Whatever happened to that early spring the groundhog predicted we would have? Someone should replace that rodent.

The winter here in CT was slow to start but quickly made up for lost time! I am ready for March as well. Happy you’re back Suzanne…my mornings aren’t the same without your daily post 🙂

Well everyone, I hate to say it but we have only had couple of skiffs of snow here in NW Oregon. However,,,,I am just as anxious for spring here also. We moved a year ago to 55 acres in Clatskanie Oregon and I gave up my garden for the move last year, but NOT this year. (I hope)… 😕
Very glad you are back Suzanne

Ooooh, I’d really like it to be March, too. My baby’s due on March 13th – scheduled c-section for medical reasons – and I’ll bet I’ll never be as anxious for March to arrive in future years for mere gardening issues as I am for March to arrive so that I can meet the Tenant.
