Looks like you may have to post a help wanted ad in your local newspaper: Wanted Guard Dog
Free room and board (and blankie)
    Must love cookies

LOL, that’s one mean guard dog you got there. About as energetic as the freeloaders I have at my place.

:hungry2: LOL looks like our place…minus the beautiful porch. Only we had 9 chickens and one big black rooster sleeping with the dogs in the afternoons on the back porch. Heaven help anyone coming to visit!

Mean Rooster would probably make a great guard dog

Thank goodness they’re on the job. Safety is their number-one issue.

Pocohontis wouldn’t put up with that, you know. If you let HER on the porch. :-D

Well, at least the “invaders” would have to fly over the dogs to get to you!

We used to have a SharPei who thought she was keeper of all the animals. She would nudge the kittens when they were young to keep them from wandering off the deck or she would try to round up the goats because she thought they were going where they shouldn’t. LOL

P.S. – Coco looks like a rug, lying there. LOL

Looks like you are getting closer to chickens in the house not chickens in the road. LOL

Mean Rooster is a sneaky one: he drugged the dog chow this morning!

The interview went well today, but I kept thinking about the Mean rooster might be at my house if I don’t get the job–so I was on best behavior. I hope I got the job.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
