Forecast, Snowy with Crying

I moved my car to the bottom of the driveway, because even with my relatively short and not steep driveway, it freaks me out to back down it on snow. Not that this will do me any good as this is what my nice paved road looks like this afternoon. I’m not going anywhere. YOU CAN’T MAKE ME.

You should turn it around so you wouldn’t even have to back out, you could just drive out!

My backing up skills need some serious help. P.S. I’d be staying in as well.

I’m sure glad you don’t have a job that you have to drive to. Today I will have to drive from Charleston to Jackson County. Will I be nervous? Heck yeah! I’ve been doing it for years and I’m use to it, don’t like doing it but gotta earn a pay check. Count yourself lucky that you don’t have to drive in this stuff.

What a beautiful sight (talking about the snow). Though I’m sure living in a region where it snows has it down sides sometimes, I’m also sure it must be wonderful. A wonderful winter wonderland :snowman: β™« Sleigh bells ring, are you listening. In the lane, snow is glistening. A beautiful sight, we’re happy tonight…walking in a winter wonderland.β™ͺ β™« Yes, I’m still listening to Christmas songs. πŸ˜‰ Take care out there Susanne, glad you thought ahead and planned keeping your car out near the drive way. I hope the snow doesn’t build too much so that you may still maneuver through those roads this weekend. ~Thinking of you and wishing you a safe & fun weekend! Some days are just meant for staying inside, doing homely comforting things. Just like there are days meant to be outside and doing anything. Stay warm, read a good book and maybe even take a nap on the couch.

School was closed today so we went out to do our Friday evening shopping in the morning. Glad we did that because it slick and get dangerous out there. Now I am home enjoying the wood heat while hubby is out feeding his cows. πŸ™‚

After living 6 years in Iceland I can say I totally understand the difficulty presented by ice and snow. If at all possible, when spring time hits, put in a circle drive, even if it has to go around to the back door area first, then to the front and out to the road. Cutting the slope of the incline will help greatly. I just hope you have the room to do this. Otherwise a good cup of hot chocolate and a day at home isn’t all bad. Praying for warmth and sunshine!

It’s a mess here in VA too, I’m sitting my the fire with my seed catalogs planning my garden.

These are what I call snuggle days πŸ™‚

I have to agree with all of those who don’t like to drive in the white stuff. I love to look at it, but not in my driving or farming world. I went to Alaska in Nove. 2007 by ferry so I wouldn’t have to drive the Alaskan hwy in winter. When I arrived, 45 minutes later it started snowing and didn’t stop for 4 1/2 months. I learned to drive in the stuff with a 2 wheel drive pickup. I DON’T drive in it now if I don’t have to.
I am so glad for you, Suzanne when you can stay home and work. Be warm!
