The Good Old Days

I came across this photo, and with Weston joining the Army and Morgan headed for college, couldn’t resist posting it. I’m feeling sentimental. ::sniffle::

Morgan must have been about three in this photograph. Weston would have been going on six. At the time, we lived in a house by a lake in Granbury, Texas. The photo is torn up and taped together and generally bent up because Morgan showed it to Weston at some point. The humiliation of having a moment in time recorded in which he pushed a doll carriage through a garden was too much for him to bear. Morgan managed to get the photo away from him and make this effort at recovering it. Then she gave it to me and told me to hide it.

It’s a good thing Weston is in basic training and can’t see my website right now.

This is almost too sweet/funny for words. I have several Grandsons and Great Grandsons…and can clearly picture this happening with the same results. Warms my heart and makes me laugh. Thanks for sharing and love to you and your kids!

I bet you’ve got more incriminating photos than this one, so he ought to be grateful. Besides, he’ll probably just man up and grunt, and then ignore it.

Love it! Morgan looks adorable in her high heeled sandals and gorgeous long blond hair. Not to forget Weston, looking so cute with a pair of binoculars around his neck, pushing a doll stroller. There will come a day when he will treasure pics like this…family becomes so much more meaningful when we are so far apart.

That photo is a treasure! I am glad you all were able to save it. I am impressed by how clean they are to be playing……

I had to go to Lawton Thursday and as I went by Fort Sill I thought of Weston going thru basic training.

Good thing Weston’s new boot camp buddies aren’t online right now.

    This photo is absolutley precious!
You can take this photo to a good photographer and they can make a new copy for you. It would be a nce gift on someones wedding day.
It looks like a very nice garden growing in the back ground, it likes like you were in you lady farmer mode even back then.
It is amazing how times have changed, when I think of the things I have seen in the past 70+ years, it both amazes and scares me. I am happy to have had some of those good old days.
