I finished my book! And turned it in! And now I don’t want to do ANYTHING.

I think I have an enabler!

She’s a real cutie. Congrats on finishing the book AND on the new doggie for the house. I wish I had room for a Great Pyr. Have to make due with my medium size mutt and black cat.

:snoopy: :snoopy: :woof: :woof: :shimmy: :shimmy:   I think a nice glass of wine to celebrate is called for. Go ahead, be sinful in the middle of the day, you’ve earned it. And cholate, you’ve earned chocolate, too! None for her though.

  3. fowlers says:

Well:::here is what I would do if I was you::::run a hot bath: take said bath: put on P.J’s grab a cold one::pop it open, take control of the remote: and vegetate:::direct all phone calls to the machine::your very busy right now,,,when the child prances thru the front door hand her your “Princes to do list” and tell her “have it”, for your very busy right now: and being that Princess loves you best!! she will do everything on the “Princes to do list” w/ a smile: then come cook you dinner. A girl can dream can’t she ? lol

Congrats:: you deserve a break!! enjoy!

  4. rurification says:

yay!!! What a relief that must be. And you totally deserve a break. For a month.

  5. bonita says:

Oh, the joy of turning a mss in. Savor it with wine and chocolate as others suggest. Feed the livestock with a serenity of mss completion that will baffle the chickens and frighten the goats!
Don’t know how much of an enabler Gwen is, she’s left little room on that easy chair for you.

    AWESOME!!!!!

  7. Pam full of joy says:

Yea Suzanne! You did it! :snoopy: I am dancing with you. Oh wait. We’re not doing anything. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  8. Jane L says:

Congratulations! I don’t blame you for needing a break. You’ve had an awfully busy year! It must feel good, so savor it and relax away:)

  9. Jersey Lady says:

    Yay and Well Done!

  10. MelKilMD says:

That is WONDERFUL!! But it looks like you may need to get a bigger couch if you plan to “sit around and do nothing”. ๐Ÿ˜€

  11. Claudia W says:

I think Gwen has it right. Follow her lead.

  12. Squeegees Mom says:

Well done, Suzanne! Take a deep breathe, let it out slow, take another deep breathe, and holler the roof down! You did it! Take five, and figure out the next major project, and go get ’em.

I admire your spirit and energy. And of course your abundant talent!

  13. KellyWalkerStudios says:

WooHoo! Congrats! Now relax….even if it is just for a little while. ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Barbee says:

Every time I have been at this point, I always had that old nagging feeling that I was forgetting something! Hope that doesn’t happen to you, because it kinda’ spoils it. I’m eating chocolate cookies here in your honor :eating: I really am!

  15. Miss Judy says:

Wonderful! I bet you feel a lot lighter now. ๐Ÿ™‚

  16. yvonnem says:

It is just so awesome that you found exactly the type of dog you wanted…Great Pyr, female, house dog, and from the shelter even! I bet her previous owner hated giving her up. She looks to have been well taken care of. Was Gwen her original name, or did you name her? She is beautiful, so sweet! :snoopy:

    • Suzanne McMinn says:

Yvonne, after she was taken out of the shelter, she was in foster care. She was named by the foster caregiver as her original name is not known. Months were spent listing the dog and trying to find the owners. She was found locally and taken to the local shelter. If the owners had contacted the shelter, even after she was moved to foster care, she could have been easily recovered by the owners. (Contacting all area shelters would be the first thing I would do if my dog was missing. It’s what I did when Coco was missing.) It would appear that her previous owners were not interested in reclaiming her. Her good condition is due to her foster caregiver. She was not in such good condition when she was found and taken to the shelter.

  17. yvonnem says:

Oh, congratulations on finishing your book, I CANNOT WAIT to read it!

  18. yvonnem says:

Oh, that is sad about the previous owner and her condition not being so good upon arriving at the shelter. Foster care for animals is such a wonderful thing, and I never knew much about it. Another thing I’ve learned from you!

  19. joeyfulnoise says:

Can’t wait to read the book…….enjoy your cuddle time with Gwen, she looks adorable!

  20. joykenn says:

Wow! Gwen looks worn out from helping you get the book ready. Enjoy some down time with her.

  21. Sue, a Florida Farm Girl says:

Girlfriend, I think you’re overdue a little down time!!!! You’be been running around endlessly for months now.

  22. FujiQ says:

I bet that feels nice ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m really looking forward to reading it! That’s a very brave thing to do.

By the way, is that Minniebelle’s portrait back there?
