The Crooked Little Hen and Mr. Hyde have a longterm reservation on this armchair room at the side of the porch. They are the only two who roost here at night.

Those two crack me up! They definitely have their own love shack/roost! Every time you post about them I hear the B-52’s Love Shack tune in my head and hum it the rest of the day!

I really get misty-eyed over these two. Two outcasts who had found each other and have decided to love and care for one another. I think its beautiful and would love to see baby chicks from them. I, too, hope that he’s healing up ok. Don’t feel guilty please….at the time, I, like you, would have thought he was the Alpha rooster myself.

It looks as if Mr. Hyde is doing pretty well for himself. He’s no longer a member of the “coop clan” but has elevated to a”loftier position on the porch…on cushions, no less! Hmmph! He can look down his beak at those lowly roosters while he cuddles with his girl. Take that, you ruffians!!!

I am so happy to see that Mr. Hyde is looking better. The caring ministrations of his beloved are apparently restoring him to health and happiness. The two of them contentedly roosting on the chair is such a sweet picture of contentment. I also want to tell you congratulations on the birth of the two pairs of twins. I go to this post every day to keep track of life on your farm. Now I am looking forward to stories of the farm babies. Hopefully, Clover won’t let us down this year. She has such cute babies. Oh that is so sweet. What do you think you’ll do with them in the future? I’ve heard that a chicken with a crooked beak like that could pass that on to her chicks…..but they are so sweet together!!!

This is all fine and dandy and romantic, but I’m worried about her OTHER suiter on the back porch!! Isn’t she still a bigamist? (or is there another name for a chick with 2 husbands?)
