When I don’t want to think. When I don’t want to try hard. When I just need a cookie NOW. Peanut butter cookies. Easy to make. Everything’s always in the pantry to make ’em. Everybody loves ’em.

What’s your go-to cookie?

P.S. I also have a post over here today!

Peanut butter [b/c you are right – everything is always in the pantry] or chocolate chip b/c we always have a bag of some sort of chocolate bits in the house.

True story – my brother taught me to make PB cookies when i was really young because we always found near the end of the month the snacks started to get scarce and since Dad was military and was paid on the 1st of the month we knew we had to fend for ourselves for sweets until Mom went shopping to restock on the first – so I was making PB cookies really young to get our snack fix. We especially love them made with crunchy pb.

  3. Leah says:

Chocolate chip cookies are my go to cookies mainly beacuse when I buy chocolate chips I overbuy for some reason. Baby Brooke keeps asking me for “choc-it.” I think she gets that from me….

I LOVE PB cookies, but my go to is No-Bakes! I can whip them up and be eating one in 12 minutes (stick one in the freezer for a minute)!

But I really need to make some PB ones…….those looks so good. Maybe today with the kids!

  5. Barbee' says:

Ummmm, those look so! good!! I think I saw one with my name on it. :eating:

Sadly for awhile now if I have to bake cookies its the frozen kind you pop in the oven. I get them cheep with coupons. lol. Or Betty Crocker cookie mix. Again really super cheep with coupons.

But things are looking up I am cooking from scratch again and will be making chocolet chip cookies again, peanut butter is a favorite around there too.

Molasses cookie with lots of ginger in it. Some powdered ginger and, if I’m feeling decadent, some chopped fine crystallized ginger too. Always have molasses and the other ingredients no matter how broke I am and they smell so good baking. Then pair these cookies with a cup of tea and all is right with the world.

  8. Carmen C. says:

YUM! Mine would be Snickerdoodles, I even named one of my house rabbits that, LOL!

  9. I Wanna Farm says:

Hillbilly No-bakes, definitely the easiest and they’re yummy. I think others might call them ‘drop’ cookies or just no-bake cookies.

  10. Valerie says:

Snickerdoodles rock! Always have the ingredients, a snap to make, smell deeelicious while baking, and have a chewy, softie, cinnamon-y, vanilla-y taste that have me drooling as I type. Mmmmmsnickerdoodles….

  11. joycee says:

Hard to beat a peanut butter cookie! My go to is my Aunt Joy’s sugar cookie, 2 kinds of sugar(granulated and confectioners) and 2 kinds of fat (oil and butter) make these cookies way good!

  12. mamawolf says:

Chocolate chip or Lemon Melt-aways. Always have incredients for those two. Kids and grands frequently ask me to send them some so always have huge bags of chips. Lemon melt-aways because they are so lemony!

  13. KLabmom says:

Our go to cookie around here is sugar cookies…..my kids love ’em, we can jus tput sugar on them, or sprinkles, or if ingredients and budget allows, icing. Very, very yummy!!!

  14. Shelly says:

Yes this is an easy cookie to make in a hurry, I also like to make oatmeal raisin because I usually have all the ingredients in my kitchen. Yum. I still want to make your rum/brandy balls real soon and bag them up and give them as gifts.

  15. Shelly says:

I meant I still want to make your BOURBON balls recipe!

  16. Amanda says:

Chocolate chip every time! I’m testing recipes to find my all-time favorite.

  17. Johanna says:

Chocolate chip with some orange rind in the dough, and walnuts. I make a half batch of dough, bake a few and freeze the rest in little balls. Then when I NEED a cookie, I can pop a few balls in the oven and ten minutes later, warm, melty, chocolate chip cookie! It’s REALLY important when you’re terribly busy to have those cookie balls frozen and ready to go!!!

  18. wvhomecanner says:

No-bake here hands down, but called ‘Tummy Ticklers’ in my family. Always have the ingredients on hand. It was the first thing my daughter wanted to learn how to cook too. While she was pregnant this winter I think she ate half a pick-up full LOL!
Hey – is the recipe for the Lemon Melt-aways around here somewhere ??? Mamawolf ???

    Dede

  19. Shirley Corwin says:

  20. Sarah says:
