We got a new (first!) butterfly bush and look! It attracted a butterfly within 24 hours.

Here in Washington they are considered a pernicious weed. 🙁

That is so cool. I would love to have a butterfly garden but my garden is full of mint! The mint attracted a stray cat because it slept in it. Butterflies are so much fun to watch!

I am sure enjoying these “new” pictures with the camera.

We haven’t had many butterflies for several years here and no one knows why.

Lots and lots of flowers; very few butterflies. I have to enjoy them via others pictures.

Love the bokeh in that pic! I haven’t seen many butterflies around here…maybe I need a bush?

I’m a bit of a lazy gardner – at the end of summer/fall I leave the old bloom spikes. Many birds will come and feed from the bushes – mostly finches – house & purple. The Gold Finches will stop by too, but they really prefer the sunflowers.
