Off With Their Heads

Coco has the patience of a saint. The smaller dogs think she’s a giant chew toy, not a giant puppy.

Boomer, eating her ear.

Casper, taking out a piece of her side.

And then Coco has enough and eats their heads.

The End.

Dogs are so funny. When our current dog, Oliver, was a puppy, we also had Buddy an older Chow-mix who had up until then been an only puppy. Oliver would follow Buddy and chew on him and Buddy was very patient up to a point….then he would give Oliver “the look” and a small growl and Oliver would stop chewing on him….at least for awhile!

She is the only girl in a crowd of boys  :snuggle: . She needs another girl dog to help share the attention of the boys.

We have (thanks to my son, who moved back home) a Big Dog and a Little Dog. In this case it’s the Little Dog who’s the saint, as the Big Dog loves to take him by the scruff of the neck and toss him around. Which, yeah, looks just as scary as it sounds.

But then Little Dog hops back up and bounces over to chew on Big Dog’s leg, and they’re both off, racing around and around the yard, sometimes Big Dog chasing Little Dog, sometimes the other way around.

Reminds me of my sons when they were younger, actually, who could never pass each other without somebody taking a swipe at somebody else. Boys. :bugeyed:

And they sleep all curled up together, like your Kitten and Little. Which my boys never did. 😉

You know, a title of ‘Off with their heads’ on a blog entitled Chickens in the road, makes a reader approach the blog with some trepidation.

You wouldn’t have done that on purpose, would you?
