Oppositional Behavior

I put this old blanket on the porch so that Casper would have a warm, dry, comfy spot to sleep for the winter. Yesterday, Casper dragged it off the porch and set it under a tree in the yard. You know, where it will get soaked the next time it rains.

Some dogs are just hard to help!

Love it. Seeking sun. Smart black dog, our Yard Dog does the same. Loves being hot!!

  2. Sheila Z says:

Note combination of sun & blanket, these are optimal napping conditions. He says you can move the blanket back under the porch for his future inclement weather napping pleasure. On this day, the sun was shinning. Casper knows you are there to serve His Highness.

Reminds me of my old dog.
We had a large wooden kennel but thought she would like something warm and soft to sleep on so we put an old quilt in it.
    She takes it out
We put it back in and she lays on it for a while
Next time we go out the blanket is outside her kennel and she is sitting in it.
We put it back in, next time we go out it’s in the middle of the yard
One more time we put it back in, next time we checked it was in a thousand pieces all over the yard and she was sitting in her kennel, looking at us like “I don’t want it. Get the message.”

When it is that cold i would bring him inside. The weather man/woman caution us about that. Looks like to me he wants to be in the sun where it is perhaps warmer!!

  5. holstein woman says:

I had a dog once who when given a foam rubber pad and a blanket put them in front of the door to keep the wind out. She laid against them so she got no drafts. She was used to being inside until we couldn’t keep her inside anymore. Shar-Pies are smart. I’m sure Casper knows what he is doing.

I guess he likes the view from there better.Had a doberman….she tore up and chewed up every bed we ever put out for her. She had a penchant for material including towels if she could get to them. How I miss my old dog. :happyflower:

He has turned out to be a beautiful dog. Do you still have COCO? I haven’t seen pictures of her since you have moved.

It’s so nice here in Iowa today I may just have to get out a blanket and take a nap in the sun too! Smart dog.

  9. rainn says:

 hummmmm……..as are some people……just sayin’!!!! :dancingmonster:

  10. Dottie says:

When the sun is gone and he’s done napping
he may just decide to put that comfy blanket
back on the porch. You know, so it will be
ready the next time he decides to have a
nice cozy napp in the sun. He sure has grown
up to be a beautiful adult dog.

Is he still as develish as he was as a puppy?

  11. gardnerh says:

The good news is he only moved it :snoopy: Our Mishka would have just torn it up and strewn it around the yard – then found his brother Bentley’s blanket and torn it up. It looks like a lovely, sunny day, perhaps he likes that new road too.

It certainly doesn’t look like the end of December does it? Strange weather here in CT too. Poor Casper may think it’s spring and he’s preparing for hot temps!
