Pepper In the Water

Feb

Pepper loves water! Or–

–she loves chasing ducks and chickens around, and running them out of the creek, for fun!

(Precious is FINE, by the way, for those who asked. She doesn’t go to the barn yard, though. She has a healthy respect for ducks and chickens.)

Pepper is cute as a button! When did she join the family? I like her style. Leave it to a smaller dog to get the job done. Have a great week. (Glad Precious is a happy house puppy.)

Never mind, I just went back and found her arrival picture and post. I embarrass myself–again–for not paying attention. She is awesome. Glad Precious has a friend.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
