Love the orange slice, berry, popcorn garland. Are those just plain raw cranberries?

Simply just beautiful! The birds will love it after the tree comes down. The animals will love the cookies. The rabbits and small game will love the tree. What a totally recyclable Christmas tree!

    Suzanne,
Your tree is really nice! We don’t even have ours yet…this week I hope to get it (we always get a “ditch cedar”). I have been drying orange peel for firestarter and orange slices for the tree as per your instructions! I am nothing if not an obedient reader. 😎

It is icy and the temperature is dropping rapidly here today…so off to feed the cattle, then get a few supplies, then have an indexing deadline to make, THEN get to bake stuff for Christmas. Thanks for listening to my little “life for a day” story.

  12. Ms E says:

How do you get the oranges to string “flat”? Fabulous tree!!

  13. Tracey In Paradise,Pa. says:

Thanks Suzanne!! I will be drying oranges and making my tree some gingerbead men tommorow..You inspire me!!

  14. Suzanne says:

I’ve never thought of putting orange slices on a garland, but seeing yours makes me want to do it. So beautiful.

The anticipation of viewing the entire tree is almost too much to bare.
Though, what you have shown us is ‘SIMPLY’ lovely.

  17. Hannah says:

    Your tree looks delicious! :shroom:

  18. Julia says:

Do the dogs ear the pop corn from the garlands? Or are they all outside only dogs?

  19. Wendy says:

Beautiful tree! LOVE it – you’ve inspired me to go “green” with our tree. The kids and I are baking cookies for the tree today.

How do you keep the cats out of the tree? We had to give up having a real tree because we couldn’t keep the cats out of it. They love to climb! I can imagine the trouble we’d have with all those goodies on the tree!
