Well, sure, who doesn’t want to hold a chicken?
ME! Just finished the escaped chicken wrangling event in 20 degree weather this morning after soaking myself replacing their ice block with a fresh bucket of water.
Right now, I’m thinking chicken and dumplings trump fresh eggs!

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either.
