Roman Goddess

Aug

Coco just woke up like this yesterday.

Or so she claimed. Morgan said she looked like a Roman goddess. I think she was up to no good.

Coco didn’t want to talk about it!

Though Coco looks lovely, I somehow suspect she was be-decked by someone with hands.

    Wood Fairies!

Nice thought but in reality I used to sooo hate that weed attached to Coco! Really wreaks havoc with horse manes and tails, not to mention the coats of indoor/outdoor dogs & cats, and pant legs and shoestrings. Those buggers are worse than velcro!

She’s beautiful. We have two BHWD’s (big, hairy, white dogs) that love to run the front pasture, picking up burrs and digging holes. Mishka’s latest hole is 2 feet deep and 4 feet long. When he lays in it you can barely see him at all. Bentley digs less but loves to roll in anything suspect – as long as it’s stinky. Our two boys are Maremma Sheepdogs and look so much like your Coco.

She says, “Woman, I was working hard all night, I need a nap”

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
