Running Hard

Even the small creek in my back barnyard is running hard this morning. With all the snow melt and then pouring rain last night, school is closed for flooding today. In the past month, school has only been open here a handful of days. Morgan is a senior, so she will get out of school on the set “out” day for seniors that doesn’t change no matter how many bad weather days they have, but the rest of the kids will be in school until school starts again in the fall. (Just kidding. Maybe.)

No son Watch movies, w? I was certain you would be getting the heavy, wet snow in WV today. Glad to see no ice or snow up in your neck of the woods.

Maybe you and Morgan can have a girls’ day today. Watch movies, bake, stay in your jammies. 🙂

California could use some of that water. More rain and snow in our mountains is predicted for this week, so that will help.
I’m with GA_in_GA – a good day to stay in and bake!

We had 7-8 inches of snow, with freezing rain and lots of icing it is impossible to go out of the door, it is snowing again and we expect more this weekend, I am going to have a happy day baking something.

Morgan must be so tired of missing school. Glad that you did not get more snow. I know your day is spent taking care of the farm. Would like to see some more photos of the animals .

It was freezing rain/ slush, and 22 k in NJ are w/ out electric power. Thankfully we still have power. There are close- by towns w/ o power!!! thinking how to prepare; we have no room to store a Generarator live in TownHouse w / small attached storage shed ( furnace in there).

Glad that your snow is melting. We could use the water here in Texas where we still have a drought. It’s cold here but clear. They said we might get a hint of snow tomorrow.

I was just thinking I bet they have a lot of days to make up in the Spring. I’m glad Morgan doesn’t have to make hers up! Hang in there….. :sheepjump:

I hope your animals are alright.

In WI, we’ve had school closings due to wind chill temps of minus 40, also blowing and drifting snow. Normally a foot of snow doesn’t shut us down in the north.
