Since I’ve Been So Lazy This Weekend

Since I’m being so lazy, I’ll post some more of Jerry’s photos, which is still lazy, isn’t it? One of these days, I’m gonna go take some photos of my own again.

(All photos below by Jerry Waters.)

We went out to see the horses, and unfortunately, I hadn’t planned in advance and gotten hold of Shortcake. Morgan and I, in fact, are just about to go out and get her corralled so I can work on her forelock matting problem. (I’ll let you know how that goes. I’ll be right back–it should only take about two hundred years.)

Zip was being cooperative, of course.

Which is more than I can say for some other equine in the vicinity.

Jack was being the real superstar, though.

Jack is old and calm, and really has no goal in life other than to stay in the presence of his Poky. He’ll happily gaze into your eyes for long, endearing moments and pose for the camera. The other equine, and I don’t mean Shortcake this time, were being pesky.

And more pesky.

But not Jack!

He really needs a hat, don’t you think?

I especially like the picture of you with Jack, Pokey, and Zip (oh, and Jasper, too). It shows how popular you are.

Great pictures of the animals and of yourself. You look happy and younger now that you have your bit of WV heaven. We don’t mind if you have a bit of “laziness” when it makes you glow like this. Love you Suzanne.

Ya know Suzanne… you really do look happy, healthy and relaxed. This past year has obviously been tough, crazy busy, thrilling, horrendous, fun, educational, expensive, frantic, difficult and F-A-N-T-I-S-T-I-C for you!!! You look MAHHHR-VELOUS dahling! I love them all and couldn’t pick any one for a fave.

Cowboy Magic Detangler & Shine is all you need for those mats and brambles. Simple and easy, saves tons of time, get some at Tractor Supply or your local farm store. Must have stuff!! :shimmy:

Adorable! Who wouldn’t be happy with all that equine affection? The hat makes Jack look dapper, but he doesn’t need it. He’s a great little donkey. I’m feeling a bit lazy this weekend too. Beautiful fall days make you want to savor each moment and not waste them on something like work.

For all of the years that I’ve been a loyal follower (EVERY DAY – without fail!) I’ve never actually seen your face. You shouldn’t be behind the camera so much!! Let’s see more of you!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE to see the photos of you and Jack and Poky! Lookin’ good. . .

After you get the tangles out braid their forelocks tightly and use a little rubber band to keep them burr free for the fall. Just what I need to do tomorrow.

Suzanne, You look great! I love the hat.

Wonderful! You…and the animals…look fantastic. Wish I had the crew you have. All I’ve got right now is my neighbor’s free-range chickens, who are delightful. Best wishes for the book and the future!

Seeing that hat on Jack makes me miss Clover…she was such a diva with her hats and such…..

I am usually just a lurker, but I just have to tell you how beautiful you look in all these pictures – and so happy! You definitely need to be in more of the pics! Love seeing you with your animals.
