Six Months

Nov

Just a reminder that I have a Thanksgiving giveaway going on at Farm Bell Recipes for a gorgeous red LeCreuset batter bowl. It started yesterday and goes through noon (Eastern) Thursday (Thanksgiving Day, November 25). I can’t believe it’s been six months already since my dream of having a recipe community here came true. I love being able to comb through so many recipes, so easily, so organized and categorized. I love the fantastic community feeling with so many different people contributing their voices and ideas. There is a new post on the Farm Bell blog every day–it’s like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get! It’s a fun surprise every day with different posters and different perspectives. There’s always something to learn or something to laugh about. If you haven’t joined us over there yet, c’mon!

*You can find the giveaway here.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
