Ok…surely there is a way for her to become a house pet! She NEEDS attention Suzanne!

That is so cute. I like the “peeping hen”. She got a taste of “inside” living and she wants to come back inside.

That poor chicken has a crush on you. I think you should let her in and let her be your house chicken. Of course, I’m not the one who would be cleaning up her mess, just saying.

Hmmmm….sounds like somebody loves you….or is just a crazy stalker:)She’s just wanting to come in again I bet!!!

She is cold and she doesn’t understand why, if the cats and dogs can come in with you, she can’t. You might as well let her in, Suzanne. Or one night, you will wake up and she will be sitting on your chest staring at you!!
(okay…that creeped me out, too. Sorry)

I can just see that black and white print diaper on her! (I know you could make these yourself and save some $) This is just too cute. She’s definitely taken with you….you could rename her C C. You have to appreciate her determination….it can’t be easy for her to climb all those stairs.

I say you get the diapers and make her your little love hen. I can just see her nestled in your lap in front of the fireplace, with you stroking her little head and you watch your evening news. :chicken:

That is sooo funny! She’s a sweet little thing, but I can understand it might give one that creepy feeling that someone is looking at you. I guess she is waiting for the cat to come open the door. She is not so dumb, she just can’t reach the handle.

  38. 1-14
    12:24

You might as well just accept it and let her in! (I’m pretty sure she would be in my house by now)

  39. 1-14

Make her a warm little nest-box near to the cook stove, then maybe she will lay her eggs right there for you. Now that would be perfect!

Do you suppose Will is right? Mean rooster is back! But I think Barbee has the right idea. Build her a nest-box by the stove. Have her deliver the eggs to you.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
