Hard to believe that sixteen years ago, she was a tiny little baby under six pounds, born three weeks early. She’s been the apple of my eye ever since. She turned sixteen today, and wanted to go to lunch at Soho’s at the Capitol Market in Charleston. It’s her favorite restaurant, though we hardly ever go (to that or any other restaurant).
They have a throne chair at the market now, for some unknown reason, but she decided it was for her.

We went shopping for Disney movies. That’s been a theme lately with her. She wanted Disney movies for Christmas, too. All the old ones she loved when she was a kid. We used to have them on VHS, but don’t have them anymore–and now she wants them all on DVD. I like that she still wants “little girl” things, though I couldn’t talk her into a Barbie doll……
