September 10, 2012 is the sixth year since the passing of my beauty girl, my firstborn, my only daughter…she will be forever 29. Losing Clover on the same day made me sob, bawl and cry all at the same time. I’m pretty sure I cursed a lot as well. I couldn’t find my home keys yesterday to tell you how sorry I am that YOUR / our Clover has passed. My heart is with you and the Clover Express is a wonderful way to keep her memory intact! It’s not like any of us who have loved Clover would ever forget her silly ways!!

    It’s all we can do…

  25. MaryZ says:

I’m so happy to see the Clover Express! It’s a fair tribute to such a great little goat! You’ll need to bring up another critter through the ranks of celebritisim to delight and entertain. Albeit there will never be another Clover.

  26. oct4luv says:

I love this. The wagon turned out so cute. It’s the perfect memorial.

Just looking at Clover’s picture I can see all the love she had for you in her little goatie heart. Animals give their love unconditionally which makes their passing harder still.

Wherever she is, I hope she has a good internet connection because she will love seeing this!! She has always been smarter than your averge goat.

  36. RosieJo says:

…and we all know averge goats aren’t always good spellers.

  37. jnet says:

๐Ÿ˜€ Clover was a very special goat. I had goats years ago and miss them still, they are very special. I remember the time I had goats very fondly, wouldn’t trade it for anything.

  38. moosebubbles says:

I respectfully suggest that a small Crown should be painted on the Clover Express.
Loved that goat and never met her.
    Big hugs from Moosebubbles family.

  39. Auntie Linda says:

Excellent tribute to a wonderful friend to all of us. RIP Clover – we loved you.

  40. Heidi533 says:

What an absolutely wonderful way to memorialize Clover. I love it. Simply perfect.

  41. doubletroublegen says:

Awww Suzanne, I love the photo and it brings back such wonderful memories! I can still see Anna working hard to make Clover’s tiara. We have had a hard day here on the farm also, lost one of our 6 year old barred rock hens to a hernia rupture. So sorry for your loss, our animals are our extended family members, each with distinct personalities and behaviors. See you Sunday!

  42. nursemary says:

Suzanne, I have been too emotional to post about the loss of your beloved Clover. I remember when you got her, I was full of envy. The stories of her sassy little attitude made me want one of my own enough to get three of my own! I completely understand how easy it is to fall in love with a goat or three. She had a charmed life around people who clearly loved her. Cookies kept her going until her little heart no longer could. It is testament to your writing skills that she is loved by people all over the world. Thank you for sharing her with us.

    Mary

  43. myaizar says:

Absolutely beautiful and perfect!! Love it!!!!

  44. brenda s okie in colorado says:

I can visualize Clover in Heaven with angel wings, tiara, and eating cookies with Jesus.

  45. Mandys says:

Crying again ๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ˜ฅ What a wonderful way to honour such a wonderful animal

  46. Too Little Time says:

I was excited when I saw “The Clover Express” on my News section of FB. I live way out in the country and only have slow internet speed available to me. I was so impatient waiting for it to load, thinking that it would just be a note to all those who are sharing your loss. What a surprise to see that beautiful red wagon with “The Clover Express” already painted on it. More tears, just like everyone who has become so attatched to you and your furry and feathered children. Thank you for sharing with us all during your sorrow.

  47. Diane says:

You sure do know how to make a girl cry. How can a person fall in love with a darn goat she never met?? Goodness. That photo just did it for me. Teared me right up.

Love the tribute on the wagon!!! Perfect. Love it.

  48. SweetPug says:

YES! You nailed it. It’s a wonderful way to honor the goat/pet/PERSON Clover was and what she meant to your farming life experience. She will always live at Sassafras.

  49. angiemay says:

    I absolutely love it ๐Ÿ™‚
