I love your front porch – chairs, dogs, chickens and goats! Wish I lived close enough to sit on it with you, pants or no pants!!!

I absolutely love your front porch.

Ours is much smaller … and no chickens but lots of cats and one dog. We do enjoy it though.

No chickens or dogs on our front porch….but we do have a swing! And porch swings bring back memories of my childhood – there was always one on our porch.

The chickens just knocked on the back door to remind me that I hadn’t given them their morning treat. Wish I had a porch swing. There’s nothing more relaxing than taking a moment to swing your problems away. Enjoy your view.

Suzanne, you can call them patio lights all day long but we know what they are! (I like them, anyway.)

Need a swing for my porch, but I, too, couldn’t bear to put away all the lights. Hubby swagged them on the porch ceiling for me. Oh, and then there are the icicle lights…

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
