See Annabelle? On the other side of the fence? With all the other sheep. Where she’s supposed to be. See one of the Miss Cotswolds? On this side of the fence, in the buck field with Eclipse and Rhett?
How did she get there? Why did she go? What does she want?

We don’t know. It’s a mystery.
However, it’s a good bet that she looked at the sheep, and looked at the goats, and said to herself, “Self, those two little goats put together don’t eat half of what one of these sheep eat. I’m going to live with them!”
Or maybe Mr. Cotswold was getting on her nerves. Maybe he left the toilet seat up. Maybe he wouldn’t let her watch Oprah. Maybe he called her fat.
I’ll investigate and get back to you.

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
