Water in All the Wrong Places

Our pet rooster, George, gazing upon the sodden barn yard, wondering what happened to his world.

It’s pouring down the rain today. Water, water, everywhere, except–

–for inside the house because there was a water main leak. We’ve had no water since last night. They’re supposedly getting it back on this morning, but I haven’t seen a drop other than outside. Where there’s way too much water.

But at least the ducks are happy!

Better than the nature channel. :)
That’s a bummer about the house water. Hope they fix it quickly.

I guess that is what the old saying “Happy as a duck in water” means. I hope you get your water flowing inside the house soon, it seems like there is always something to fix, doesn’t matter if the home is new or old—always something.

The water’s back on, thank goodness. They got the water main break fixed yesterday by midday.

Glad to hear that, how we take for granted turning on the faucet and having water come come out, not to mention the use of water in other parts of the home. ;)

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
