What I Did Yesterday | Chickens in the Road

I’m giving away two more 2011 Chickens in the Road calendars this weekend! The first one is sponsored by Handmade Teddy Bears and Raggedies. (You must go look at her stuff. It’s adorable!!!) Ready to play?

I did the following things yesterday…..or did I?

1) Slipped and fell on the ice.
2) Made a hard cheese.
3) Milked Beulah Petunia.
4) Ironed a shirt for Weston.
5) Gave Clover a cookie.

And remember, I don’t milk BP every day! (I’m making it hard, aren’t I? There are some clues to my milking schedule laying around in recent posts….) I did not do all of the things on that list yesterday, but I’m not going to tell you how many of those things I did. You’ll have to guess–and tell me which of those things I did!

One winner from the correct responses will be drawn by random comment number to receive a CITR 2011 calendar. Eligible entry ends at midnight U.S. Eastern time tonight (February 12). You can only guess once. This post will be updated with the winner by 9 a.m. tomorrow (February 13). Good luck! (It’s February. The calendars gotta go!)

What I did yesterday (the yesterday in question is Friday):

1) Yes, I slipped and fell on the ice. Still hurts.
2) Yes, I made a hard cheese.
3) No, I didn’t milk BP. It was Glory Bee’s day.
4) Yes, I ironed a shirt for Weston. There was a dance at the high school so he had to dress up.
5) No, Clover didn’t get a cookie on Friday! She still hasn’t forgiven me.

The only one im pretty sure of is number5.. im betting clover gets cookies just about every day! I love that goat lol. With the national merit scholarship..i waffled on number 4.. i doubt you iron often..i sure dont! but maybe for that.

This is a hard one and unfair – haha – you do most of these things everyday – how I do not know but you are wonder woman. I know you didn’t iron Weston a shirt so that eliminates that one because Weston isn’t home – is he? I don’t think you slipped on the ice because you are too sure footed for that although it’s possible….hmmmmm….by my calculations you should have milked BP yesterday so I’m going with that one – yeah that’s it #3 for sure.

I am guessing 1, 3 and 5. I know your weather is about 1/2 day behind ours, but basically the same…..well we may be a bit warmer. Our area was slippery with the ice under the snow day before yesterday thru today. I think I have the milking schedule figured out and if you milked yesterday the milk would need to sit for separation to happen, so no cheese. What is ironing??? Also what day do you not give Clover a cookie? I really need a calendar, as I was so sick in December I forgot to pick up a free one for us and DH didn’t buy one like he usually does.

Normally I would say no ironing allowed on the farm, but Weston has special stuff going on, so that is a possiblity. Also, I think you ALMOST fell, but didn’t therefore making it a trick question. Unless that’s what you want me to think and it’s actually the opposite!!! (I dread tests – I think EVERYTHING is a trick question!) So I say:

1. No falling on ice

So I’m thinking that you did 1, 4 & 5. I’m guessing that you were planning on making cheese but when you slipped and fell on the ice you didn,t feel like doing anything for the rest of the day. You had to iron the shirt because he is your son and you love him. I’m just guessing, though, becuase when I slip and fall I’m out for days. I’m a big baby, though.
