This is a wonderful moist apple bread.
Servings: 10 to 12 slicesPrep Time: less then 30 minutes Cook Time: 50 to 60 minutes
1/2 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups apples, peeled, grated
2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
optional: 3/4 cup raisins
Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and add vanilla. Stir in apples.
Sift together all dry ingredients and blend them into the creamed mixture.
If using raisins, then add now. Pour into a lightly greased pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan.
