Breakfast Sandwiches

Jan

I’m looking for breakfast sandwiches that I can make ahead for my family to nuke in the morning. High calorie options are fine.

Here are the ones by Jimmy Dean: http://jimmydean.com/products/Sandwiches/

Just make one egg omelets and shape them to a slice of bread. Ham,cheese, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms. all good.

You can make breakfast on the weekend or some time that you have time and make extra biscuits, egg, bacon, ham, or sausage, or anything you ordinarily like, and make up breakfast biscuits and freeze them wrapped individually. Check out the instructions on the boxes at the supermarket if you need a guide as to how long to nuke them. I always freeze leftover breakfast stuff this way, and often make way more than we need so that we can avoid the fast food junk. English muffins and bagels work great too.

Thanks. I made Pioneer Woman’s “Make-Ahead Muffin Melts” this week. I’d love to find more recipes like that. I may have to play with it on my own and see what I can come up with.

One thing I’ve always liked is making extra french toast to freeze, because it reheats so well in the toaster.

I made pancakes this weekend and quadrupled the recipe. If you make them the right size you can pop them in the toaster, but the microwave works great too. We never buy frozen waffles anymore.
