Easy white icing. A few drops of food coloring can be added for special occasions!

Difficulty: Easy

Servings: frosts two-layer cake

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

1 cup shortening

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

4 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar

3-4 tablespoons milk

Directions

Beat shortening and vanilla with electric mixer on medium for 30 seconds. Add half of the powdered sugar; beat. Add 2 tablespoons milk. Beat in remaining powdered sugar, adding more milk as needed until of spreading consistency.
